Founded in 1990 by Rob Walsh and incorporated as Ocean Equipment in 1995. Rob started as a Manufacturers Representative for the Autohelm division of Raytheon Marine, now Raymarine… the world leader in marine electronics. He expanded the Manufacture Representative lines to include PolyPlaner Marine Audio and Jet Connex The Vehicle-To-Trailer Power Connection. Shortly after he began to manufacture NavPod instrument housings, which facilitates the mounting of marine electronics on board boats. Later, he diversified into HoseCoil Washdown Systems, utilizing his vacuum-forming expertise from NavPod to provide a line of HoseCoil enclosures and line of hoses.
