Cape Andover Capital Partners is an Irvine, California based venture capital fund that specializes in early stage financing rounds principally for medical device and instrument companies. It functions as a small merchant bank in that its Principals invest their own funds in rounds that it leads and arranges for the balance required in association with other accredited investors or targeted venture capital fund partners. It has completed seven financings since its inception in January 2000. Its Principals generally serve as activist investors working closely and on an ongoing basis with its portfolio companies’ management especially in the areas of finance, budgeting and market development.
